Places are experiences that are built from feelings that we made to give them meaning.
A place is not understood, but live. And from experience it as the "mean" or what we understand our mind, that give meaning and place and given a handful of millions of neurons.
A place is not a landscape but the landscape through which we connect with the essence of a place.
A place is not physical geography, but geo-emotion. Emotion
implanted in a space.
After we build the memory, which should be a significant and indelible mark.
A place is not an abstract idea, but should be behind a idea. Naturally, the place
entered by a handful of images, the better a few than many. But are these "postcards" which we define the space, the postcards are significant because they illuminate a notion. The place is
remember when it was lived. But it is also aspiration when we experienced a "vicarious" through the media, or representations. From these images, produced and mediated, the place became almost a legend or myth.
All this comes for the delicious inspiration they have given me Xavi team Semple and John Povey, Culdesac Communication, in his latest work for Val de Marne. It is an exquisite piece with original music Xavi's brother, that captivates and captures. A unique view of the Great Paris beyond the stereotypes that have educated us and that includes being sensitive that other than contemporary Paris. Enjoy
